just install 1.8 or 2 liter engine, than you'll see what power really means |

A bad day working on the Lada is better than a good day at work. |

News after a lot of months' silence...
The car from the beginning of the year doesn't have licence plates...This because I don't use it daily (I used to do it all the years before), I want to make it powerful and beautiful so I give licence plates back to the ministry. No expenses but no rides...
Lada was in great mechanical condition (with 1300TC and 5speed lada gearbox which I have already installed but I haven't updated here) but the bodywork needs repairs and paint...
The car club which I join http://www.lsdteam.gr/, organized a great trackday-party and I wanted to take part but I knew what the 1300 can do...
So the desicion had taken...me and a couple of friends swap the 2 litre TC in the 2105 as it was (totally stock)...
The 2 litre engine was in a friend's warehouse as it has been taken out from a 131 which went for scrap.
Just for the track day...without any other worries...
1300 TC
2000 TC
A spare 2000 engine block and a 4sp lada gb for demo
Some of the problems are:
The different lever for the gas pedal because of the higher engine
(the result without to much thinking....as I said...NO worries)
The thermostat was stacked closed so it removed
The fuse for the underpressure line from the inlet manifold contacts brake master cylinder because of the higher engine (with 1300 the fuse was marginally under master cylinder) and I swap another inlet manifold which had the fuse at the arrow...
The exhaust...the manifold had a big gap with the 2-1 junction so I installed an inox full exhaust 52mm
The 34ADF carb (2litre stock) was in bad condition and needed refurbishment so I interchange with 32ADF (1300 stock) which works perfect...
The 1300's flywheel and clutch were used...
I didn't leave it alone...it has good company
All these mean that I didn't get the best performance even from a stock 2000 engine but it was significantly faster and makes the torsen to work overtimes
After trackday, it locked again in the garage to start the restoration...This is the reason why I didn't invest to take care the installation and the engine...It will come out soon to restore the car body and tune up the 2000 engine...a lot of work just starts...hope to take back the licence plates and ride it in less than 2 years...
