Started my holidays this week and, before I go camping next week, I'm renoing my oldest daughter's room.

I'm adding an alcove for her bed and a built-in bookcase.

I ripped down the wall today and will start framing tomorrow.

One layer of drywall, one layer of cement, one layer of plaster, one layer of waxed paper and one layer of buffalo board. Tough stuff !!!

You can see the purple expanding foam I paid someone to blow in last October to help cut down on my heating costs.

Everything is now cleaned up for the framing tomorrow.

A bad day working on the Lada is better than a good day at work.

First things first did the foam help?

I just bought a 1800 sqft house so you should be helping me. I changed over 50 fixtures to 3 wire. Tore up all the carpet to find some prime oak hard wood anyways lots off work to do.
So bring your dewalt tools there's beer in the fridge and a pool to cool off in.

Yes, the foam helped.

However, I need to improve the air circulation and will put gable end vents later this summer.

Sorry, I would love to give you a hand but my schedule is completely booked.

My mother-in-law is in town and we are all going camping next week. Then my father-in-law shows up (my wife's parents are divorced) and we are going to the cottage, then I go to Minnesota for a week-long historical interpretation gig !!
