guess one could call it a loose replica of lada VFTS |

Great thread!-lots and lots of interesting little details, fabricated steel
intake manifold, heavily modified head(looks like lots of welding done
on the head),heat wrapped tri-y header, special crank pulley and much
more....190hp out of 1.6L aint bad at all... |

lots of not so obvious stuff there...
completely modified suspension, long duration high lift camshaft, lightweight conrods, crankshaft, flywheel, high compression pistons, competition clutch... |

can't tell you precisely cos this ain't my car.
those are common among racers, not made for lada, there's a distance plate between them and hubs so you can make any PCD fit. |

rear springs - lada 2104 heavy duty springs. available in serbia at around 40e/pair new
front springs - not sure, but from pretty much any car which has same diameter springs. i used front springs from fiat 132 diesel which is much heavyer and therefore springs are much stiffer. mercedes 123 springs will do. of course, you need to cut them down to size. i think i cut off two coils from 132 springs, it was 5 years ago...
suspension bushings - complete set of polyurethane bushings for fiat 124 sport/spider. available from diferent manufacturers around the world at around 300e
front sway bar - two standard lada sway bars connected in paralel.
rear sway bar - there's rear sway bar kit available from russia at around 200e or you can modify one from fiat argenta VX/TD
shocks - two way gas shocks. more expensive the better. people say that koni yellow are the best there are. i used kayaba white. they work well and are much cheaper
front suspension arms seem welded to add strenght
whole body seem welded.
there's a lot of stuff you can do yourself at almost no cost at all. |

Thanx a lot Djape....
I have a set of merc's w123 springs and maybe with a set of bilstein shocks will be my next set up....
The rear sway bar is quite intresting because not many vfts replicas have......
A friend of mine use white kayabas and he is very satisfied too.... _________________ AUTOCON PARTS

you're welcome
as i said, i i didn't take part in building this one but i did a lot of work an my lada.
be sure to seem weld your front suspension arms. when you stiffen up the suspension, nasty things tend to happen. also all areas around holes need to be reinforced or else...
timing chain tensioner and slider for VFTS
usual problem...

Any updates on your build? Have you managed to put on new Bilstein shocks on your ride? |
