Pretty much standard, with a Weber conversion, a missing 5th gear, some odd after-market transmition noises, and soon to be lifted 2" (once I sort the gearbox). Smile

EDIT: image link fixed.

Er, yep. Embarassed

Russian tyres on the front and some old-school MTs on the back. Not a chance back or forward either thrashing or nursing it. Just didn't want to know. Sad

I've found the Russian tyres to be ok in mud - up until now. The other Niva there (with good propper MTs) when through no worries.

It did most of the rutted stuff better than I would have thought, but in proper mud, well, yep, I should save for some decent MTs I guess... Smile

PS - I just wanna point out it took two Jappas to free me... Smile Smile

baxter,

you probably had this sorted okay, but check your tyre pressures, stick around 16psi when you're doing this offroad stuff.

make sure your tyres are the same size front & rear

and don't forget to hit difflock before it starts to bog

Yes and no, I've got it up to 270-ish of motorway driving on a tank (should be over 300), so not brilliant, but better than the 210 it was down to.

I'm yet to replace the brake master which we suspect might be slightly dragging the front brakes; so hopefully a bit more to go...
