Hey, I found some Niva shocks made by cofap (ancient tho) but they were for free so i threw them on today!! Looks good and has a metal shield on the top seem to be decent quality. Here is a pic of the old ones too & the exhaust is kinda rubbing on the RHS one....

Nice! Nothing like something new and shiny on your Niva! I put the Ranchos on mine! That doesn't beat free though.

Cofap are excellent quality, made in Brasil, used for decades as factory installed shocks on Fiats

I looked on the box and there are 2 different Numbers

2) B. 47 195 C.Y

if it means anything to you, those were probably originaly made for fiat 124 familiare (station wagon) or 131 familiare. both would be with apropriate mounts for lada with ones for 131 being slightly longer than for 124. also, both cars were load carying vehicles so shocks would be a bit stiffer than for sedan versions of both models.

i have a pair of new rear shocks for 131 familiare somewhere and one of these days i'll try and dig'em from my pile of parts (scrap) in the back yard and post part number here

The box did say Lada Rear on it. I measured them and they were the same length as the shocks I removed.
