Anyone know if the newer Lada 4 x 4 212140 has timing chain adjuster bolt or does it have some kind of auto adjuster?
I cannot find any adjuster bolt as in on line maintenance etc

I think the newer lada's may have an hydraulic or perhaps some kinf of auto adjuster.

cheers all

:? :(

You'll need to be a bit more specific than that. There are five variants in the 21214 family and 212140 isn't one of them.

The simple method (mostly correct):

Carb or single point injection - manual adjuster
Multipoint injection - hydraulic adjuster

The hydraulic adjuster can be troublesome and it can be changed for a manual adjuster hence the "mostly correct".

hi thanks, for info,

I think I had an extra 0 in there

Its a 2013 model so I think it may have the hydraulic version.
I keep looking for the manual adjuster nut on the right side above alternator but no sign of one.
(Im thinking that the newer models went with hydraulic)
I better verify as Im planning ona long drive.
In the maintenance book it has 21214 and its a 2013
It has all the new Bosch parts etc
I can call a dealership in Russia maybe check and post here for all to be updated

cheers

No a 2013 will be a hydraulic adjuster, you shouldn't have to worry unless there's astronomical KMs on it.
