Has anyone ever converted to an electric choke from the OE hot water one? If so did you retain the choke pull off? ( white plastic cap with screw adjuster and a diaphragm ) |

The only conversions I ever did to the 95 I had with hot water choke was to convert it to manual choke. Don't recall personally seeing any electric choke conversions in my travels. _________________ '15 Yota Rav4

I put an electric choke on my '91 1600 that is converted to a weber carb. It was cheap and easy if I recall and it works great.
I also added an electric fuel pump inline ahead of the carb and the weber loves that. Starts and runs great.
The one drawback would be that if you leave the key on and the engine not running, the spring in the electric choke will still open up the choke as if the engine were running.
Cheers. _________________ '91 Niva 1600
