I would get a manual. Not sure if there's a downloadable version. You would probably have turn turn all adjustable screws, idle speed, air, etc all the way in then back out X amount of turns. I don't know the exact amount as I don't have my Lada yet. Previous car experience yes. If it was an MG or Corvair, I could tell you. Hopefully someone will chime in with procedure.

Send me your phone number I'll text you pics of pages in question. What year is your car and what engine is in it?

Matthew, I sent you a private message with my phone number. The year is 1981 and it's model 2101. I don't know what engine that is, but if you tell me how to find it, I'll look....

Hi Matt, thanks for the reply. I'm not able to find Haynes manuals for the 2101 in English. Most of them seem to be for the 1200 1300 1500 1600 and Samara. Do those happen to have the same engine as the 2101?

thank you.

the 1200.1300 and 1500 were avalible in the 2101 depending on year and market sold in-basicly the same engine as other lada models-sometime around the time your car was built, the smaller engines changed from enclosed timing chain to a rubber timing belt.I have Hanes manual for Lada but carb shown looks different from the pic of the carb you posted.I.ll see if I can find some of my other lada manuals to see what carb adjustment info is given.Probably will need to lean out the jetting of the carb to run good at 8000'and advance the spark timing a little.
