Dixie Electric
http://dixie-electric.com/content/catalogsfr.html

Starter
=====
Niva 1984 - 1997, 1.6 and 1.7
Part Number: S6506

Signet 1984 - 1993, 1.3 and 1.5
Part Number: S6506

Alternator
======
Niva 1996 - 1997, 1.7i only
Part Number: A6271

Lots to be found on Dixie's site!
However, last I checked, a starter was $450 from them

Also, Carquest in Hamilton (only?) lists and can get Lada parts, not carquest in other cities. Ask John Grills / uselesstool about this one.

Hmm, perhaps this is why I have some issues with my clutch. Had someone install it for me, worked good for a couple of months, now the pedal only engages at like 3 inches from the floor Sad

Thanks for the info....

and Chris, if it really is $20 for a case of 12 fuel filters, I'll front the cost, and you pick them up

hand them out to whoever needs them

Hi Luke,
If you're referring to the "Main Filter Group" in the Soo, I think it's $20 per filter(which is still a great price for original filter) and you gotta buy them by the case. I called them one day and the lady told me that they also carried a case of six (of the same filter, but their own number), and they were much less in price....I have the number somewhere I think, I'll post it on here in case someone is interested in looking into it and might want to order a case someday........ Smile

"Main Filter" number is what we see as the cross. Rolling Eyes

$11.39 Each (Case of 12)
$12.08 Each (Case of 6)........

i just had to replace the clutch on my '97 niva 1.7 and i went with the Valeo. Comes with everyhting and payed $195.00 can.
As for the fuel filter go with the mann. im waiting 2 months for mine (lol)
replaced my alternator last week purchaed from a local auto parts store paid $65.00 but was only 63 amps had then up-it to 79 amps for $15.00 i beleive the alternator to come from cavalier as its a delco-remy.. the company the alternator came from is:ARMATURES DNS 2000 INC ..the Technical # to reach them is 1-800-363-7996
As for the the alternator belt i put on a CARQUEST XL #7365 (11A0925) SIZE 10MM X 942 MM- 13/32" X 37-1/8" BURNT THAT OUT IN 20 KMS
Tried a Rofan part #1a0950 to big
Napa XL 7360 ..Too tight to get on...so i was thinking after my pint of ale and cursing...MMmm lets try...wait for it the belt from my "SNOWBLOWER" AND IT FITS PERFECTLY !!!

I think you guys on the big rock had the 85amp altys possibly as an exception the more i look into it Andy. I'm not taking a dig and don't doubt that your Altys on the shelf are 85 amp ones, but i've been looking into it over on this side of the pond... All three Alty's I all brought down to the re-builder ended up being pegged as all 50-66 amp. Not by any markings, but by what was inside them. "No more No less" he said. I know for a fact 2 were original Canadian Equipment Alty's and one was an abortion of a re-build from some half arsed auto electric shop in Southern Ontario. The Guy here and his son have been re-building Stuff for decades so their word is good.

just thinking chris (owwwww,now i have a headache) you have the blue efi manual,it tells you in their,it's 80 or 85amp,seen it with my own eyes.... Wink

carb is 55amp

might explain why some efi's have funny electrical problems

obviously it's just something someone's dumped on the car if they're not genuine russian ones......

have a good trip mate.
